Unlike other agencies, you won’t catch Sunday Buyers purchasing a property without a physical inspection to ensure it is of the highest standard for our clients. Our story
Founded in 2023, Sunday Buyers was quickly recognised as a leading property advisory business, winning awards at both the local and national level for its work with investors across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast markets. This included being named Small Business of the Year by the Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA) in 2025.
As Director of Sunday, Shane had to make a decision whether to scale the business under exceedingly growing demand for it’s services, or keep the brand boutique and simply refine Sunday’s focus to just one or two local markets. Feedback from Gold Coast customers had indicated a clear gap in the market for a Buyers Agency to provide one-on-one, personalised services to its clients. Whilst many agencies exist, most bump their clients around between 3-4 agents over the course of their engagement, providing no real continuity of service. This is where Sunday is different.
Sunday clients work directly with the company founder and director, Shane Acorn. From the first phone call, through to settlement, Shane becomes your personal property advisor, representing you and providing tailored advice about the market and opportunities as they present. If you engage with Sunday, you won’t be passed down to the most junior agent in the team, with limited experience and no personal property to their name. Instead you’ll be working with a highly qualified and experienced property investor and multi-award winning advisor, often for a fraction of the cost of engaging with other agencies.

Meet Shane
Shane Acorn (QPIA®) – Director and Buyer’s Agent
Shane is a seasoned property investor with a diverse, multi-million dollar portfolio, including properties across Tweed Heads and Southeast Queensland. He began his investment journey while serving as a Clearance Diver in both Navy and Special Operations.
Bringing discipline and a strategic mindset from his military career, and supported by the Sunday Buyers administration team, Shane now helps clients confidently navigate the property market. He founded Sunday Buyers to support first home buyers, owner-occupiers, and both new and experienced investors in entering or growing their portfolios using insights he’s gained first hand over more than a decade in property investing.
Under Shane’s leadership, Sunday Buyers received national recognition as the PIPA Small Business of the Year in 2025 as well as Most Outstanding New Business for 2025 at the Tweed Heads Business Awards. Shane has received several personal honours for his contribution to business and academia, including the UNSW Business School’s Responsible Management Prize and the prestigious Professor Wanbil Lee Prize for Ethical Leadership and Innovation.
Based on the Gold Coast, Shane has lectured MBA students in topics including governance, ethics and sustainability and also continues his own learning journey through completion of his Master of Laws program.

In his spare time Shane trains for high-altitude mountaineering – with his most recent summit being Mount Aconcagua in Argentina – and continues to serve as Chairman of Sydney based AI technology company Invicta Prospects Group.
When not inspecting property for clients, you’ll find Shane at Snapper Rocks with his wife and 12 year old Cavalier named Cleo.
